Server and networking equipment pickup in Austin

A server-room refresh can leave a mixed lot of heavy hardware, storage media, and networking equipment. Austin Tech Recycling reviews that lot and its collection needs before discussing buyback, reuse, or removal options.

Request a pickup

A rough list is enough. No account required. Terms and timing need confirmation.

Is this a fit for your equipment?

Useful for already retired business servers, switches, routers, and associated IT hardware. Pickup of agreed equipment does not imply live-network support, system migration, rack decommissioning, or data-center certification.

Equipment we can review

  • Retired business servers and server components
  • Switches, routers, and business networking equipment
  • Storage hardware, UPS units, and associated cables to review

These are examples for review. What we can take and how it will be handled are confirmed for your specific request.

Mention these details before pickup

  • Whether equipment is disconnected, rack-mounted, unusually heavy, or difficult to reach
  • Drives, removable media, retained configurations, and any custody requirements
  • UPS batteries, missing parts, equipment condition, and building access

What to have ready

  1. Have your authorized IT staff decide which equipment is retired and ready for release.
  2. List approximate quantities, models if known, and whether rack removal or special handling needs discussion.
  3. Identify storage media and configuration data, and agree on the transfer and handling plan before equipment moves.

Keep passwords, encryption keys, confidential contents, employee information, and full serial-number inventories out of the public form.

Purchase offers and pickup costs

Condition, current resale evidence, travel, access, and handling needs affect the options. We may be unable to take a lot. When a proposal is available, you can review it before deciding.

A purchase offer
If the reviewed equipment supports a purchase, the proposal states what we pay you.
Pickup covered by the lot
Some reviewed lots support pickup without a removal charge. This is agreed for the specific lot.
An agreed removal fee
Travel, labor, recycling, or other handling costs may require a fee. The proposal states what you pay before you decide.

Plan for stored data before transfer

Flag devices, drives, or networking configurations that may hold information. Discuss retention requirements, custody, handling steps, and any documentation before equipment moves.

A request or pickup does not certify erasure, destruction, recycling, or compliance. Device-level claims need evidence for the specific device or media.

Questions about servers & networking

Can servers and networking gear have buyback value?

They may. Model, age, condition, quantity, current resale evidence, and handling costs all affect whether a reviewed purchase offer is possible. No purchase or fixed value is guaranteed.

Do networking devices need a data-handling discussion?

They can. Stored configurations, credentials, and other information may remain on devices as well as drives. Flag possible data and discuss the handling required before transfer.

Can I include a UPS or rack-mounted equipment?

Include it in the description, along with batteries, weight, rack status, and access constraints. These details need review; do not assume removal or battery handling is already included.

Tell us what you have.

We’ll talk through the options and arrange a pickup once the details are agreed.
