Computer and laptop pickup in Austin
Old laptops and desktop computers can fill a storage room after an upgrade. Austin Tech Recycling helps businesses review computer lots for possible buyback, reuse, or recycling and plans pickup at the agreed location.
Request a pickupA rough list is enough. No account required. Terms and timing need confirmation.
Is this a fit for your equipment?
Useful for business computer fleets, mixed desktop and laptop lots, and retired workstations. Include untested or incomplete equipment rather than assuming every machine must boot before you can start a request.
Equipment we can review
- Business laptops and desktop computers
- Workstations and associated LCD monitors
- Docks, chargers, peripherals, and loose storage media to review
These are examples for review. What we can take and how it will be handled are confirmed for your specific request.
Mention these details before pickup
- Approximate age and whether equipment is working, untested, damaged, or missing parts
- Missing chargers, activation locks, and company device-management enrollment
- Internal drives and loose media that may still hold business or personal information
What to have ready
- Keep your required backups and follow your organization’s retention and approval process.
- Group similar devices and estimate quantities; a rough inventory is enough to begin.
- Discuss account locks, device management, and the handling of stored data before handing equipment over.
Keep passwords, encryption keys, confidential contents, employee information, and full serial-number inventories out of the public form.
Purchase offers and pickup costs
Condition, current resale evidence, travel, access, and handling needs affect the options. We may be unable to take a lot. When a proposal is available, you can review it before deciding.
- A purchase offer
- If the reviewed equipment supports a purchase, the proposal states what we pay you.
- Pickup covered by the lot
- Some reviewed lots support pickup without a removal charge. This is agreed for the specific lot.
- An agreed removal fee
- Travel, labor, recycling, or other handling costs may require a fee. The proposal states what you pay before you decide.
Plan for stored data before transfer
Flag devices, drives, or networking configurations that may hold information. Discuss retention requirements, custody, handling steps, and any documentation before equipment moves.
A request or pickup does not certify erasure, destruction, recycling, or compliance. Device-level claims need evidence for the specific device or media.

Can I include computers that have not been tested?
Yes, describe them as untested. Do not assume they work or have a particular value. Condition and missing parts are reviewed before any proposal is released.
Should I send serial numbers or passwords with the request?
No. Use equipment types, approximate quantities, and model information if available. Keep passwords, encryption keys, confidential contents, and full serial-number inventories out of the public form.
Will submitting the form erase my computers?
No. A request does not inspect, erase, sanitize, or destroy a device. Agree on custody, data handling, and any documentation before pickup or transfer.
Tell us what you have.
We’ll talk through the options and arrange a pickup once the details are agreed.
